PLA:
Bio-degradable
Doesn't warp when cooling
Can be dissolved with certain chemicals - has potential as a support
material
ABS:
Warps like crazy (definitely need a heated build platform for anything
larger than 3cm x 3xm)
More colors
More dangerous than PLA (ideally should have lots of ventilation for the
fumes)
Stronger than PLA
Better colors :D
If you are really concerned about safety the MSDS for each has all the
information you need. I crack the window and occasionally stick in a window
fan when I use ABS.
