That would be extremely interesting. I'll have to look into how that works. Right now I have multiple LED drivers feeding them and then relying on persistence of vision to make it look like they are all on at the same time.
I have it working on a small grid as a test, but want to scale it up to 32*32 with a RGB led in each pixel.

I've seen projects where the leds can be used as light sensors...
So can I draw pictures on it with a laser pointer? ;)
