[MakeLV] What's in the box?

Thanks to AEDC and the Davinci Center for doing all the work to putting
together last night's event. I had a great time hearing about the potential
of the space and the need for a group of hackers to organize and fill the
space. How often do hacker's get asked to come in and use a space? I'm
looking forward to hearing what it'll take to solve the liability problem,
but I'm also excited that there are things that can be done before that.

My favorite part of the night was at the end, when I got to ask a couple
guys "What's in the box?". It sure beat looking at your websites. It is much
easier to ask questions in person. :-) I heard some cool projects mentioned
by several of you in your introductions also that I hope to learn more
about.

I think it would be great to get another meeting together focused around the
show & tell model we were talking about. It would also help get to know each
other and build the community for the larger purpose of getting the
hackerspace functional.

Apparently, we have a place we can host it. Sounds like all we really need
is people to share stuff, an audience and some heat. The stuff to share and
the audience are clearly already available. I bet AEDC can deal with the
heat issue for us.

As far as format, should it be more formal with a series of 5-10 minute
talks people sign up for or should it be bring whatever and set it up at a
table and we'll wander around chatting with each other?

PS:
*Here's an extra tidbit:* I think this is a one-day deal (today). If you're
looking to pickup electronics skills, this could make your day. "Buy Make:
Electronics Components Pack 1 and get our Make: Electronics book free!"
