[MakeLV] Prusa Mendel v. MakerBot

I guess you missed I also now work for MakerBot, so I'm a little biased. :)
Seriously though, I've become much more interested in actually making things
instead of hacking on printers. Each one has it's pros and cons. Making a
reprap is an awesome thing to do and it's a lot of fun, however if you want
to get going quickly and easily, MakerBot has the advantage and the time
saved is worth the extra cost. Before MakerBot switched to a stepper based
extruder, I would have said that with a lot of time and effort, that a
reprap was superior. However now, I get the best quality with my
Thing-o-Matic than any of my repraps. A whiteant takes a lot of effort and
isn't much cheaper in the long run, but you can make it with simple wood
working tools and it can be more easily converted to do light CNC cutting.
