I'm thinking first shot we should keep it under $3k.

I've been following JMEMantzel on YouTube for awhile and he's been
having a good time with his "Laser Blaster" that would fit into that
price range. He did a video review here:

I wonder if, with a laser cutter, we could cut parts for the 3D
printer and CNC router. However, there are kits for both of those in
the $1200-$1500 range so we could potentially get both of those for
just the price of the laser cutter.
