[MakeLV] Designing part for a 3D printer

So many good options! I didn't expect that.
I played around with SketchUp tonight and made a very rough no measurements
mockup pretty quickly once I learned a few techniques. SketchUp has been
slow for me to learn also, but I may be able to pull this off.
I just looked at TinkerCad and the idea of a browser based software seems
very interesting to me so I may try that out also before I sit down and take
the actual measurements and do this.
Being a Linux fellow myself, OpenSCAD has same serious appeal, but my
initial look at their website suggests that it might be overkill for this
first simple project. The learning curve looks much more substantial than
SketchUp. Is that a fair assessment?
