Just thought of another those "It would be great to have ..." items .... A
small metal lathe ..... like this one:

A couple of time I've found myself with a round object ....  ... PVC CAP
... that I've wanted to either put a centered hole or .... threaded rod
where I've wanted to shave down one end and but a different threads on it
.... like to adapt 5/8" to 1/4"
