[MakeLV] CQ FIELD DAY

CALLING ALL RADIO AMATEURS (and all geeks, nerds and makers!!)

Next Weekend is the annual ARRL FIELD DAY .... an event / exercise where
amateur radio operators crawl out of their dark windowless ham shacks and
demonstrate their emergency preparedness by operating "in the field" away
from the comforts of home and commercial power.

(well my shack is in the basement and windowless ... other hams may be more
fortunate)

An organization I'm affiliated with, WARREN COUNTY RACES (http://wc2em.net)
with cooperation from the Penn-Jersey Amateur Radio Club (http://w2sjt.org/)
will be participating in field day this year atop Montana Mountain in White
Township, NJ from Saturday June 23 2:00 PM EDT until Sunday June 24 2:00 PM.

Field Day is all about 24 hours of "Playing Radio," enjoying the company
and conversation of like minded individuals and enjoying the great outdoors!
