I was there Thursday night since I was in Bethlehem this week to
attend a training class. It is good to see the progress happening at
the Hive facility.

I mentioned some things when I dropped off some stuff. The first
item is that I am teaching a workshop at the next meeting of the
Greater Philadelphia Area Puppet Guild, which meets at the Please
Touch museum in Philly. I will be teaching "Electricity and Lighting
for Puppeteers" at the August 26 meeting. Topics will include; types
of lights, calculating safe electrical loads, how to light a LED, and
methods of lighting control. I will demo a system for remote control
of lights and sound with a Power Point remote controller.

Here are the remainder of the meetings this season;

Sunday July 29, 2012 - 4:30pm followed by performance by Please touch museum.
Sunday August 26, 2012 - 4:30pm Lighting and Electricity Presentation
by GPAPG member Joe Dunfee

Note we get in using the back staff entrance and park in the staff
parking lot as the museum is closing. They shut the doors after the
meeting starts, and we may not be able to hear someone knocking. So,
you may not be able to get in after 4:30.

Directions:
Please visit the museum website for directions to the museum
http://www.pleasetouchmuseum.org

Also, I do recommend that you contact me if you are coming, since
there may be a few hints to help make sure you get to where we meet.
