Quickly! Are we interested in doing Mayfair on Sunday, 5/27? They wouldn't charge us anything and if we did the soldering lessons and LED buttons, we might be able to raise some money for MakeLV. Thoughts?

> The group had a great time at the DaVinci Science Festival. I'll mention this possibility to them on Thursday during the open house. It's getting late in the day, but they may be able to dust off what they did for DaVinci, which was mostly showing kids how to solder and do their own LED buttons.

As the only full time employee for putting on a festival of 50,000 people with only 4 months lead time, I have to say that I am beyond my ability to juggle everything. I did drive by the night I said I would, but I just couldn’t figure out where the place was. There seemed to be no cars anywhere to indicate any kind of a meeting and everything looked dark. I drove up and down the road for about 15 minutes trying to figure it out and finally gave up. Sorry!

> I’ll describe the opportunity here since I just don’t have a lot of time to chat about it. We are running a children’s art activity center at Mayfair and Karen at DaVinci Science Center thought your group might have some fun activities they could drop by and do. We don’t have money to pay for educators, but if you have something cool that would expand the minds of kids and would find it of interest or of value to be part of the activities offered to the public via Mayfair, please let me know. We’ll find a place for you.

> Would you like to drop by our space this Thursday to see what our group is up to and talk to them about ways that they can integrate with Mayfair? We also have the Lehigh Valley Handmade Alliance doing their monthly meeting this Thursday. We open the doors at 6:30 and generally work until about 9:30. We'd love to have you.

Part of that is expanding KidSpace (removing the rides and adding more art/educational activities) and shifting focus toward more of the visual arts than the direction we were headed which was very concert focused. Karen mentioned many of the cool things you were doing. I’d be thrilled to hear any ideas you may have.

She is planning a great Festival this year and I thought MAKE Lehigh Valley might be interested in bringing some 3-D printers to the Festival as Artists in Action. Please connect with Arlene for more information about dates/times and what is involved if you are interested. The Festival happens during Memorial Day weekend. We will be there and I hope MAKE will be also.
