[MakeLV] alittle machining

Warning: I'm getting old so I have to start telling dumb stories like this.

I had a friend I worked with on some projects, he came out of the navy.  He 
told me about the time he ordered an 8" turnbuckle--he had measured the 
length of it and thought this was what he required.

So, he filled out a requisition, and several months later, while they were in 
drydock, a flatbed truck pulled up to the boat with his 8" turnbuckle on 
it--turnbuckles are apparently sized based on the diameter of the threaded 
screws.

I'm not 100% sure the story is true, but I like it (except when I think about 
the money spent on it).
