I spoke with Josiah's State Farm insurance agent, Diane Brant, and she
clarified what was the negative answer I remember receiving from my State
Farm insurance agent, Joe Brady.

Home Owner insurance may or may not include umbrella coverage to cover you
if you are sued as an individual.

Home Owner nor umbrella coverage would cover you if the board is sued.

Ergo, we do need to get D&O insurance.  Also, officers should check with
their agent to see if they are covered if someone sues them personally.
