At the moment ED is in the attic. We bought a house a few months back and so I've been putting my project time into the house. I'd really like to have a nice case for it, rather than a shoe box wrapped in duct tape. I imagine a laser-cut custom case. I researched generic cases, but with the point being to have it look like a head, very few of them met my aesthetic interest or size for that matter and they were pretty universally outside my desired budget. <div>
<br></div><div>I'd also like to have my circuits reviewed by someone who knows what their doing in that world to point out why I have some quirks. For example, if I have all my pots high, it doesn't operate as expected and I think this is because it's just sucking too much power, but I don't know what I can do about that. Debouncing the buttons would probably be a good idea. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I've built the code in a modular way that allows me to easily create different ways for people to interact with it. If it was a bit more aesthetically pleasing, I'd probably display it more and have more fun with it, encouraging me to write other code. I've written the code with the idea that you'd start with an easy objective and then slowly work towards harder and harder puzzles to figure out. I think it would also be a fun beginner kit for people to build with their kids if I could get all the bugs worked out of it. I haven't really explored that idea at all, except to realize that kids seem to be frequently present and welcome in the make environment. It'd be a great "show & tell" thing for a kid to take into school and say "I built this and programmed it".</div>

For the MB extruder it seems many people end up doing the changes I have done because of similar problems. It just wasn't documented in one place when I assembled mine. For a while I'd order a part, fix a problem and need to find another piece to fix something else. It took a lot of time. More than 10 colors of ABS are available and if you switch to PLA I've seen 5-6 colors of that.<br>

The plastic gets used really slowly. The problem is the smallest quantity I can find is one pound. That is a lot of plastic when you realize "large" pieces are almost hollow under default settings.<br>
