Picked up the MAKE Special issue: Workshop and Tool Guide .... there is a feature on "How to Create a Hackerspace." written by Mitch Altman of TV-B-GONE fame.<br><br>The article goes through a list of suggestions ... and some items it HIGHLY recommended: Incorporate and Insurance ( we all saw that coming :-) )<br>

<br>It also mentioned other things like fund raising opportunities like teaching classes to the public or selling t-shirts ... both of which end up helping promote the organization as well. <br><br>Other things it discussed: keeping things simple .... don't try to fix problems that haven't happened yet!<br>
