I don't suppose anyone took minutes at the last meeting so let me see<br>
if I can sum up what's going on and hope others will jump in to fill<br>

Nominations naturally came first.<br>
My nomination as seen on the mailing list remains the only for the position<br>
The nominations for treasurer included Jonas and Scott P. Jonas<br>
declined the nomination leaving only Scott in the running.<br>
Dave S. and Ellis were both nominated for the scribe (secretary) role.<br>
Dave S. was not present but, a second to the email nomination was<br>
provided by Matthew and Dave said he would accept in the event of a<br>
2nd. Ellis, being present, accepted. I don't recall who 2nd that<br>
nomination.<br>

Elections will be held on Aug. 9th to finalize on stuff. We'll have a<br>
hot dog eating contest followed by a resistor color test to determine<br>
Dave and Ellis' qualifications (yes, that's a joke). You'll want to<br>
come vote and be a part of an historical moment in MakeLV.<br>
<br>
Getting the grill on. Next meeting, we're organizing a grill thing,<br>
starting a bit earlier for those who can make it. I believe Matthew<br>
was going to work on a sign-up sheet for people to bring things. I<br>
have some plasticware and napkins at least.<br>
<br>
The meeting ended with some discussion about fundraising. This has<br>
been among the hotter topics on the list. I'm glad to see all the<br>
ideas flying. Someone pointed out that we're actually talking about<br>
two separate things. First, fundraising and the second<br>
marketing/communications. We began to discuss a committee for these<br>
purposes. Matthew suggested that AEDC would have a lot to add to the<br>
communications committee. I agree.<br>

Anyway, we'll be talking more about that around the grill next meeting.<br>
<br>
I believe this month's 4th Thurs. (That is next week on the 28th) is<br>
cancelled due to lack of someone with keys. Our next meeting is Aug.<br>
9th.<br>
